Industrial Monitor Brightness
Brightness decides how readable a screen is in a given light, and this guide compares the brightness figures listed for the models on this site, model by model. It does not state a brightness figure for the range as a whole, because the listed figures differ between models and two models do not list a brightness figure at all. Every figure on this page is tied to the model it belongs to, so a buyer can compare models without mistaking one model's figure for a range-wide value.
Brightness figures, model by model
The 7 inch C0716 lists a brightness of 400 candela per square metre. The 8 inch C1208 also lists 400 candela per square metre. The 10.1 inch C1016 lists 350 candela per square metre. The 11.6 inch C1116 also lists 350 candela per square metre. The 15 inch C15 does not list a brightness figure, and the 15.6 inch C1516 does not list a brightness figure either. Those two gaps are stated openly: a buyer who needs a brightness figure for the C15 or the C1516 should ask for it in the enquiry and should treat the answer as specific to that model.
The difference between 400 and 350 candela per square metre is modest, and it should not be over-read. A screen at 350 candela per square metre in a shaded indoor setting can look clearer than a screen at 400 candela per square metre in direct sunlight, because the light around the screen matters as much as the light from the screen. A buyer should therefore judge brightness together with the installation light, the screen surface and the content, rather than ranking models by brightness alone.
Brightness and content
Content affects readability as much as brightness does. Large, high-contrast text stays readable at a lower brightness than small, low-contrast text, and a layout with a dark background behaves differently from a layout with a light background. A buyer who needs outdoor readability should therefore describe both the light conditions and the content in the enquiry, so the brightness question can be judged for the real use. A sample tested in the real light conditions is the best check, because brightness on paper does not always predict readability in use.
Brightness is quoted in candela per square metre, and it only makes sense when the value is tied to a model. A brighter screen is easier to read in a bright room, but brightness alone does not decide readability: the lighting in the room, the angle of the screen and the content on display all play a part. The model pages on this site give the brightness figure listed for each model, and the brightness guide page compares those figures model by model. No single brightness figure is presented as a range-wide value, because the listed figures differ between models.
What this page does not claim
This page does not claim a brightness figure for the C15 or the C1516, and it does not present the 400 or 350 figures as typical values for industrial monitors in general, because those figures belong to specific models. It does not state a contrast figure as a brightness figure, and it does not convert a contrast ratio into a brightness claim. Contrast ratios are listed per model on the product pages: 600:1 for the C0716, 400:1 for the C1208 and 800:1 for the C1016 and the C1116, with no contrast figure listed for the C15 or the C1516.

Enquiry checklist
Before sending an enquiry, note the screen size, touch type, interface list, quantity and application, and whether the monitor will be open frame, embedded or panel mounted. Minimum order quantity and lead time are unavailable on this site and are confirmed per model in the enquiry. Quotations are confirmed per order.

Frequently asked questions
How do I get a quotation?
Send an enquiry with the size, touch type, interface list and quantity you need, plus the application. Quotations are confirmed per order, and specifications are confirmed per model before payment. This site does not list fixed selling figures.
What certification documents can you provide?
CCC, CE, FCC and RoHS are stated by the company. Certificates are available upon request. If a buyer needs a certificate for a specific model, ask for it in the enquiry and name the model, so the correct document can be checked.
Are the specifications on this page valid for every model?
No. Specifications are shown per model and must not be read across the whole range. Where a value is not listed for a model, the page says to confirm per model rather than filling in a generic figure.
